Nissan has developed a knack for making each commercial an adventure.
In Nissan’s latest spot, driving is a thrilling romp with plenty of “monterous” perils and exciting twists and turns. No one captures the excitement better than Nissan these days. The company is bringing its creative A-game right now, just as the new Nissan Rogue has become its best-selling vehicle in both Canada and the US.
“The special effects are fun and a good departure from car ads that take themselves too seriously,” said Rob Giannetto, Sun Valley Nissan’s marketing manager.
The new Rogue spot is a kind of sequel to the original threatening snow-man commercial, but now features the 2017 Rogue taking on an army of snow-ball-chucking goons.
“The commercial is great,” Giannetto added. “We happen to think the new Rogue is a super-star compact SUV that should make it onto Cranbrook car-shoppers’ short lists if they’re considering a newer, smaller SUV.”
In actuality the commercial is pitching Nissan’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive in challenging winter conditions, but viewers can be forgiven for getting caught up in the drama. The mid-model makeover on the new Rogue makes it among the most handsome SUVs out there — as well as one of the safest and most efficient.
Nissan’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is reported to make traction adjustments “30 times in the blink of an eye.”
However, in addition to the top-selling Rogue, Nissan has other attractive crossover-SUVs making cameos in spot that can move car-buying intenders towards more luxury (Murano), more economy (JUKE), more size and towing capacity (Pathfinder) or “King of the Hill” status, size and power (Armada).
